The Union Inn

My husband and I have just spent 2 nights at the Union Inn. This is a good no-frills hotel at a reasonable price. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. There is also plenty of parking and the hotel is very convenient for Windsor, Eton and Runnymead. Would definitely stay her again if we were in the area.

Tess the owner and her staff were all very personable and attentive nothing too much bother. food and drink very nice.we had evening meals and breakfasts 4 persons was enjoyed by all.rooms basic but very comfortable.great location for a peaceful and friendly atmosphere. We may return when the weather turns and the river trips resume.

This is one of those places that you just want to go back too. I booked a stay in 2018, even if you do not stay at the INN, you MUST come to the pub and have a drink and dinner. The food is fantastic, all the staff are friendly, helpful and very informative of the area. I had the pleasure of meeting a local who worked as a ranger/farm hand for Prince Philip at the Windsor farms. It was fascinating. Tessa is the best hostess/manager you will find. I am so looking at returning here, located in Old Windsor, in the countryside, but close to town and the castle. You will not regret your stay here. This is an INN, not some uppity hotel, the people here are friendly and hospitable. The place is clean and fresh and very welcoming, even us yanks!

Great family pub with dining and letting rooms. Set on a country road overlooking fields it has a splendid outdoor terrace which is a great place to sit and unwind after a day's work Return visit after moving away from the area. Welcome just as warm. Fantastic place to sit on the beautiful sun drenched terrace enjoying great wines and beers overlooking the fields and peaceful scenery of the village. Great place to recharge your batteries.

The Inn has lovely views across fields and a nice front terrace seating area. To enjoy the area to fullest a car is necessary. The room was a tired but total refurbishment is planned for the near future. We had a very good homecooked meal one evening (fish and curry). Hospitality provided by Tessa, the landlady was second to none.

We booked The Union for a 3 day visit to Windsor. Really glad we chose this pub. Great atmosphere, great staff and excellent breakfast by Tess. What a character. Lovely lady! The Union is in the ideal location for getting in to Windsor, or the few minutes it takes to drive out to Runnymede. All in all, very happy with our choice and we will most definitely stay here again. Thank you!

I stayed at the Union Inn in July of 2019 and still miss it! Tessa is the most wonderful host, so lovely, welcoming and just fantastic fun. We got on really well and it was such a pleasure staying here, having a morning tea with Tess and chatting it up. The rooms are clean, really nice and if you are lucky you will have a view of the adjacent farm with the cows. It was a treat to watch them in the morning and evenings. Bathrooms are modern and nice and the FOOOD...I am still dreaming of the Mushroom Risotto topped with fresh arugula. Goodness that was an incredible dish. Also bangers and mash is yummy, Salmon (super yummy), Sea Bass (delicious). The patio is wonderful and time of day as cozy and the flowers are very inviting. My favorite time was when the sun was setting and all the colors danced across the sky while I enjoyed my favorite risotto dish. 5 stars to this lovely inn and I cannot wait to visit again! Its an unexpected treasure and for anyone wanting to walk and see the sites its a few minutes until you hit the entrance of Windsor Park and a fantastic walk to Windsor castle and town. Highly recommend :)
